An epidemic of cholera in Scott
county among hogs has caused great loss. it is reported that 5,000 hogs have
died from the disease. -

Miss Gillespie, daughter of Geo.
W. Gillespie, had the misfortune to break her arm by overturning of a buggy
at Cedar Bluff, Monday. -
Miss Millie Belcher died at the
home of her brother near Liberty last week. -
James F. Boone died on the
morning of August 20th.
