Bessie Florence Fields, 86, of the Glenwood Park Retirement Village in Glenwood, formerly of Green Valley, died Sunday, August 20, 1995, at the retirement village. Born at Tip Top, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Mary Ellen Lockhart, Puckett. She was a member of the Green View United Methodist Church in Green Valley. She had lived in Green Valley since 1948 after moving from Bluefield. She was preceded in death by her husband John Ellis Fields, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors: daughters, Ellen Tabor, Clara Gilliam and Frances Lambert , all of Green Valley; sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Alice) Strouth of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Howard (Gladys) Tabor of Bluefield; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the George W. Seaver Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton with the Rev. Randy Adkins and the Rev. Bill Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Courthouse Road, Princeton |
