GOSE, Captain George G.

 Captain George G. Gose was born in Burke's Garden on January 28th., 1822 and died November 14th., 1889.   He served in the Confederate army for about one year as Captain of Company C, 23rd. Battallion, Va. Inf.  Captain Gose passed all of his life in Burke's Garden, and was one of its' most substantial and respected citizens.
