Private S.L. Whitehead arrived home Sunday, "Sam" has been "over there", and started across "No Man's Land" and was wounded in the right leg before he got across and was sent home. He saw much fighting but says he saw enough to realize what it was and to gain a dislike for the Germans. Other soldiers recently discharged and returned to their homes here are R.P. Asbury, San Antonio, Tex.; James Rich, from a camp in Louisiana; James Able, from Camp Lee, and W.H. Osborne from Camp Humphries.
