Samuel Williams died at his home in North Tazewell on Thursday of last week. He
was 84 years of age.Feb. 4, 1921 --
Floyd Repass, formerly a member of Company I, 317th
Infantry lost his home at Gratton by fire last week.

Bolling H. Handy of Bristol, will make the address to the
veterans here today, Memorial Day, Music will be funished
by the high school orchestra.
Miss May Hankins has been appointed secretary of the Tazewell County Red Cross
chapter.
A handsome gold medal will be presented to Miss Mamie
Sexton of Graham in recognition of her fine work in Graham High School during the past year.

Lemis Wyrt, about 20 years
old was drowned in the Norfolk and Western dam at Falls Mills last
Sunday.
LETTIE HIGGINBOTHAM -- Miss
Lettie Higginbotham, 75, died at the home of her
brother, John A.
Higginbotham in Thompson Valley last Monday. She was a
daughter of the late Bailey Higginbotham.
