H.M. KINSER

The Clear Fork section of Tazewell county lost one of its most valuable citizens by death last Friday when H. M. Kinser died after a brief illness of pneumonia. He was sick but a few days. Death occurred Friday afternoon. His wife and seven children were present when he passed. An unusually large throng of people gathered at Kinser's chapel Sunday afternoon to pay their respects to a departed friend. The funeral service was in charge of Rev. Mr. Watts, assisted by Dr. W. W. Arrowood, of Tazewell. The chapel in which the service was held was named in honor of the late Thomas Kinser, father of the deceased, who built the church many years ago, since which time it was taken over by the conference. Besides his widow, he is survived by several children, among them being Harrison Kinser, democratic candidate for sheriff; also J.H. Kinser, of Bland County; Mrs Laura Thompson, of Bluefield; Luther Kinser, Mrs. Minnie Howell, Mrs. Sallie Leffel, and Mrs. Clara Shawver, of Shawver Mills. Millard Kinser was indeed a leading citizen of the county. He was the personification of energy and thrifty, and lived honorably and uprightly. The pall bearers were members of his Sunday School class.
