Last rites were held yesterday morning at 11 o’clock for John Arthur Dixon, 51, at the Raven Methodist Church, followed by burial in the family cemetery. Farmer and Co. were in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dixon, a native of Tazewell County and resident of Raven, who died Monday in a local hospital, had been ill for several months. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mallisie Robinett Dixon, two sons and three daughters. His father, J. H. Dixon, of Buchanan Co. and his brother, Paris Dixon, well known throughout this section, survive him also.
