Clarsey Caroline Rose, 73, of
Grimsleyville, died Monday evening in a local hospital following a stroke
which occurred Saturday afternoon.
She was born in Tazewell County, the daughter of the late John and Ruthie Davis Ball, both natives of Tazewell county. She was educated in the Tazewell County free schools and has been a life long resident of the Grimsleyville section. She is survived by her husband, George W. Rose and the following children; John Rose, Grimsleyville; Garland, Marvin, Va.; Jay, Raven; Otis, Marvin, Va.; Glenn and Daniel Rose, both of Raven, Va. Mrs Eddie Hylton, Raven, Va.; Mrs. Virgie Webb, Grimsleyville, Va. She is also survived By one brother, Albert Ball, of Raven, Va. One sister, Mrs.Katherine Davis of Raven, Va., and 44 grandchildren. Funeral services are to be conducted Thursday morning at 11 a.m. from the Richlands Tabernacle with the Rev. Grat Horton officiating, assisted by the Rev. James Street and Rev. Neal Webb. Interment will be in the Ball cemetery at Raven, Va. The body was removed from the Farmer Funeral Home to the residence of Roy Webb at Marvin, Va., Tuesday afternoon.
