Pounding Mill, July 21 The burial occurred Friday at 11 am at Baptist Valley at the home of George Sparks, for Major W. Sparks, who was injured in the mines at Whipple, W.Va, on Saturday, and died on Wednesday. Funeral services conducted by Rev. P.T Rule, M. E. church, of Richlands. Deceased leaves a wife and six children, 2 girls and 4 boys and 4 sisters, Mrs, Chas, Dalton, Mrs, Carl Thompson, and Mrs. Billy Bandy, all of Richlands; Mrs Sayers, Baptist Valley; two brothers preceded him to the grave in the past four years, one killed in mine and one hurt in mines and died. |
