Pounding Mill -- Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson were called to Raven Sunday on account of her brother, Joe White, who was shot accidentally. He had taken the gun on Saturday afternoon to shoot a chicken, and while talking to some parties, his left arm resting on the muzzle of the gun, and his two children playing at his feet. His next youngest child, in playing with the trigger in some manner, discharged the gun, tearing her father's elbow entirely off. Dr. Williams, who was hurriedly summoned, amputated the elbow just below the shoulder. Both Mr. and Mrs. White would raised here and their many friends here deplore this tragedy. | |||||
