Bland Co., VA was formed in 1861 from parts of
Giles, Tazewell & Wythe Counties.
Buchanan Co., VA was formed in 1858 from parts of
Russell & Tazewell Counties.
Giles Co., VA was formed in 1806 from parts of
Monroe, Montgomery & Tazewell Counties
Logan Co., WV was formed in 1824 from parts of
Cabell, Giles, Kanawha & Tazewell Counties
McDowell Co., WV was formed in 1858 from part of
Tazewell County.
Mercer Co., WV was formed in 1837 from parts of
