Hebourne
Family Land Grants
by
June White
Although all of the Hebourn grants are listed in Russell County, some acreage is located in Tazewell County. The Land Office issued Treasury Warrant Numbers for these tracts in 1795, five years before Tazewell County was formed; surveys were conducted in 1800, the year Tazewell was formed. Governor Page signed the grants in 1804.
